Simran

Simran is not a pose or a process
it is a state
Either you are in it,
or you are Not
Either you be it
or you are Not
You cannot learn it
by repeating something
You just can be it
by asking for Grace
And accepting it
when it comes
Yet for centuries man has tried
to learn the technique,
perfect the technique
and propagate the techniques
Yet none exists
which will satisfy the mind
Yet when Simran happens,
there is no mind.
Yet the words don't end the flow of thoughts,
incessant thoughts
The words inside and the words outside
Being still is the answer,
and all the riddles are solved
Remember - "Thir ghar baiso..."

  1. "Simran" literally means remembrance. Here, it refers to remembrance of God. ‎"Thir ghar baiso" is a reference to the Shabad of Guru Arjan Dev Ji in Page 201 of Guru Granth Sahib:

Remain steady in the home of your own self, O beloved servant of the Lord.
The True Guru shall resolve all your affairs. ||1||Pause||
